In celebration of Myanmar Plaza’s 9th anniversary, the Blood Donation Event, “The Gift Of Life!”, collected numerous bags of blood for people in urgent need.

2024) – The Vietnamese Investment Company, HAGL Myanmar’s Social Welfare Program, We Care, We Share successfully organized a blood donation campaign in collaboration with Meliá Yangon Hotel, titled “The Gift of Life,” to celebrate the 9th anniversary of Myanmar Plaza at Meliá Yangon Hotel.

During this event, employees from HAGL Myanmar, Meliá Yangon Hotel, and other volunteers participated in the donation drive. Thanks to the joint efforts of health workers, a total of 162 bags of blood were successfully collected. The collected blood bags were planned to meet emergency blood needs through the National Blood Bank.

Blood donors were provided nutritious food and refreshments by Meliá Yangon Hotel, while We Care We Share distributed special gift packages.

This blood donation initiative by We Care, We Share is a crucial part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. Every day, there are hundreds of patients in urgent need of blood at 14 public hospitals in Yangon Division.

We Care, We Share would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the donors and health workers for their invaluable contributions to this meaningful event. “We Care We Share” by HAGL Myanmar Provides Critical Relief worth 449 Lakhs to Flood Victims
In response to the devastating floods impacting thousands of families in Myanmar’s Taungoo Township, HAGL Myanmar has committed 25 million MMK in emergency relief aid. The funds will be distributed immediately through HAGL Myanmar’s “We Care, We Share” social welfare program to support flood relief efforts in six hard-hit villages in Taungoo Township along the East Bank of the Sittaung River, approximately 2,000 households in Pade, Kampa Ni, A Shae Sin, Thel Taw, Inn Win, and Naung Bo Village were severely impacted by the floods.
The total donations reached 19,900,600 MMK, thanks to the generous participation of various partners, such as businesses in the Myanmar Center Office Tower, retailers from Myanmar Plaza, and committed colleagues at HAGL Myanmar. Together, we collected a total donation of 44,900,600 MMK.
“We Care, We Share” provided emergency relief aid to over 700 households grappling with urgent needs in the aftermath of devastating floods. The company distributed essential supplies such as food, clean water, rice, oil, blankets, mosquito nets, shoes, and detergent powder. Furthermore, 150 sets of pots and pans for dining were provided, along with 150 solar rechargeable lamps, 200 medium-sized candles, and 11 sets of KANOTE- X power banks to address emergency requirements arising from power outages.
“The people of Taungoo are in desperate need of help, and we are committed to providing relief and support for those affected by this natural disaster”, said Mr. Nguyen Van Kha, General Director of HAGL Myanmar, “Our main goal with HAGL Myanmar’s “We Care, We Share” flood relief donation is to provide essential aid and support to those who’ve been hit hard by the floods. We’re aiming to provide immediate relief by giving out critical supplies like food, clean water, medical aid, and other essentials. We truly believe that as a responsible corporate business, we have got to support the people of Myanmar during this tough time.”
Volunteers from We Care We Share, with the assistance of the Myanmar Rescue Organization, personally traveled by boat and delivered flood relief supplies to the flood victims.

“We can survive when there is a donor; if not, we lend from Rice Mill owner,” said the chief monk.
“Dhamika Yama Parirati-Shwe Kyin Monastic School,” located in Bagan Taung Village, Thanlyn Township, Yangon Region, is home to over 250 underprivileged and orphaned children from all over Myanmar.

We surround ourselves with women who have chosen the wrong career path because of various circumstances, who are oppressed, and who were unable to complete their degree due to financial difficulties.
In our constant efforts to better the community, we at , also considered helping women improve their careers through vocational education.
We contributed to the “Shwe Yamin Foundation” this time, which offers free vocational training to help young women improve their careers.
“Shwe Yamin Foundation” provides training for young women across Myanmar, aged 14 to 22, who are underprivileged and have their own goals but find it difficult to achieve them.
